Clemme w/Stick
I'm surprised that no one has said Morrowind yet! Oh well, then I'm gonna say it. Morrowind or one of the Zelda games has to be the best single player RPG of all time, so with that out of the way, we can continue this thread! -Clemme

I got Neverwinter nights for christmas. It had a really nice system and storyline, took me about 20 hours to beat. If you're into long ass rpgs get Morrowind Originally posted by JM Qui-Gon Jinn If you want a great sp RPG, try Morrowind. The combat is a bit too simple, but except from that, it's about perfect. You can do nearly whatever you want, and it is totally open ended. A lot of different skills, all from alchemy to armoring, from Axe skill to sneaking skill, and there's a lot of neat magic (not only magic that will damage your enemy, you can do nearly whatever you want with magic. Conjure a sword, summon a Golden Saint, mix up a potion, teleport, telegrab, make yourself invisible, open locks, walk on water, etc.). I especially like stealing, tha's really fun. Originally posted by _SA_Shinzon_ Without a doubt, Morrowind. Though I'm a fan of the Final Fantasy games, IMHO they aren't REAL RPG games. IMO, they lack enough sidequests and custom settings to really be a full RPG. Morrowind, on the other hand, lets you be about anything. You can make your own custom class, and the endless slew of plugins out there, which can be made with ease with the included construction set, makes sure that there's always something new to do. Well, we can all agree that Morrowind is a great game though. Got a pretty awsome sword now too: Daedric daikatana, enchanted with 50-60 (I think) frost damage.
