Radky
i am in the process of makeing a pretty large map, it is a duel map with 5 different areas linked by teleportation. i was about to finish my 3rd area but when i compiled it, the damn thing didn't stop. I let it go for 1 hour and 26 minuets, then i stoped it manualy. i played the map to see what it had done. All the textures were as bright as they could be, there were no shadows anywhere. i tested with the map for a while and found out that if i deleted the 4 walls surrounding my third area it would compile normaly... i'm confuesed.... is my map to big? i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? anyone know how to fix it? thnx in advance p.s. ( i'm not a noob mapper.)

I would say this was the Fullbright error but for that condition. Still, check to be absolutely sure you have no leaks in the map.
Neø
Have you done Caulk around all the areas which can't be seen by the player? If not, do that, that increases the Compile time ALOT I found out when I had the same prob.
Leslie Judge
The map was bright because you stopped the compiling so the LIGHT phase counld't be finished. What was the compiler doing when you stopped it?
