Hekx
The .cfg files can be opened in Microsoft Notepad. If you want to change your com_hunkmegs setting (the amount of physical memory given to JKII) the best option is adding a line to an autoexec.cfg, while will be executed everytime Jedi Outcast is started. Simply add seta com_hunkmegs <value> to your autoexec.cfg. It's best to search around for the best option to fill the value. I personally have it set to 120, while I have 512MB RAM. To create an autoexec.cfg: Create a new .txt file, open it with Notepad, and add the line above. Save the file as autoexec.cfg (with no .txt on the end) and it should work. You can also change the setting in-game via the console. But changes won't take effect without restarting JKII.
Andy867
I always find that doing seta com_Hunkmegs x/2 works whereas there is the command line, then the x/2 is the amount of system ram divided by 2. so if you have 512 ram, you put in 256, and with 768, you put in 384, etc. NEVER do more than what you actually have for system RAM or it will cause issues. StuckPIg
So will it look like this????? seta com_hunkmegs
Andy867
Yes that is correct on how it would appear. That will help in getting system memory set aside for JK2 as opposed to "on-demand" memory requests.
