LazyPete Posted March 15, 2003 Posted March 15, 2003 1) I've made a swimming pool for my map. Obviously I first createad a brush having selected caulk_nonsolid as the texture and then applied water bespin/water2 to the upper side and the bottom of the brush. I'm positive the water brush is correctly aligned in the pool but there appears to be some z-fighting either on top or at the bottom of the water. What in the world could this be caused by? 2) What fog do you suggest I use if I for example want to cover the bottom of a tall building so I couldn't see the edge?
Leslie Judge Posted March 15, 2003 Posted March 15, 2003 1) a screenshot could help a lot 2) you can place a fog brush at the bottom of the level. Use a black one if it's evening, or a grey (light or dark) if it's daytime. This is only my opinion.
LazyPete Posted March 15, 2003 Author Posted March 15, 2003 Here you go, some screenshots of the pool... As I took a bit more thorough look I started to doubt if it's even z-fighting I'm talking about. But have a look for yourselves. Notice that if you stand on one side of the pool there is no sight of a graphical bug. The more further to the west the more you can see the lines... One Two Three Four Five Six Seven Eight
wedge2211 Posted March 15, 2003 Posted March 15, 2003 Try resizing the water brush so it extends a little bit beyond the bottom of the pool.
Leslie Judge Posted March 15, 2003 Posted March 15, 2003 Yeah, I have no idea. Never seen anything like that.
