Setting up the heirarchy for a character isn't very difficult, but to me it seems like a small bottleneck in the implementation phase of a model. Then it hit me...if the mesh is already segmented and capped, why couldn't a script just link everything in a matter of seconds? The only answer to that question is because one hasn't been made. I know nothing about making max scripts, and I looked at a couple of tuts, but I still don't know anything about making them.

 

How does everyone else feel about this? With a flawless script and proper segmentation, it would also make for a perfect heirarchy; no human error so in the event of a compile error, you won't have to backtrack to the links to see you made the simplist mistake.
