griff38 Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Back in feb i asked if anyone knew what trigger hurt kill meant. I got several responses but they were not right. It's that spot in the deathstar map where the electric beam zaps you if are passing through. The switch is obvious on the wall. Its terribly funny to use full mindtrick & sight and just stand there and zap people when they run by.
Brodin Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Its not necessarily a single spot... trigger_hurt_kill is the usuall command (i believe) which would be used as a trigger to kill a player on a map. it is used in the developement of a map and can be activated by players ingame. i am working on a map (for natural-selection, a half-life mod) and we just added a trigger_hurt for an airlock, where when the door is activated, it blows off and sucks the people out into space.
master_thomas Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Was that you, Griff who posted that? I gave almost the exact same answer as Brodin. That it was a trigger_hurt that causes damage to the person who triggers it. It would have to be a trigger_hurt, not target_kill, because it doesn't kill instantly.
griff38 Posted March 26, 2003 Author Posted March 26, 2003 I understand what you guys are talking about and you are correct. Look at the kills on my stats link to see what i was refering to. From this it's been my experience that all the trigger kills except that one generate what is called a crush kill. But the crush kills of course require a switch to!
Ronin_Medjai Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 what do you use that keeps track of your stats like that?
