Andy867
You may want to try updating your video drivers from ATI's website which will have the latest CATALYST drivers for your card/Operating System. Also, what resolution are you running the game in, and do you have any programs running in the background, and do you have the VIDEO DETAILS maxed out, or what? John1545
I have the details maxed out, no programs running in the background and I have the latest drivers.
griff38
Well what is slow? 2 minutes, 20 minutes? My maps always seem to take for ever. Try this, open the consol and start a map from there. For example pick a big map like narshadda and type this: /devmap ffa_ns_streets this will start that map, look at the consol that should still be up. You should see a statement like "600 milliseconds to load all items". If you get a number, post it here. I'll check back later.
John1545
80 seconds
Andy867
80 seconds really isn't that bad considering all that has to be done to render the maps, especially the larger ones, and with the details maxed out, it has to work even harder to draw them, which takes up even more time. John1545
But people with slow computers load faster than me (with details maxed out)
Andy867
Well it also depends upon the card. Also, try disabling the EAX in the setup for the sound... EAX is known to cause problems here and there

Andy is correct, make sure EAX is off, it's overated. I don't think there is anything wrong with your system.
