lights are still messed up!!!

i dont know why, but they map is super bright, i think there is a leak, but i cant find it!!! how do u find leaks, that red line wont show up in GTK, and radiant takes too long!!!! what do i do?

 

please help, im done just about except 4 the those lights!!!!!! they r gone, its just super light..... :( :(

i hope u did the right bsp compile.... if u did fullvis then it will be super bright.... if u have any backups use one of those that work if u dont try removing some of the lights....... do some troubleshooting...... or u must have set it too bright

 

i havn't had this problem but something very similar...... i made a light and it didn't fill the room

hope this helps. does any1 know how to find leaks, im not good at it!!!! there shouldnt be a leak though.....

but here the thing: i put a huge box all the way around the map, i know ur not supposed to, but i need to finish this map!! ive been working for like a month..... :( how can there be a leak, if there is a huge hollow box around the whole map?????????????????

well i dont use sof i use q3map to compile..... it could be that u made a detail brush touching the void.... make everything structural again....... i'm going to post a thread about "how do you know if a brush is a detail brush or a structural brush"

 

i be happy to fix your map;) and make it work unless u totally screwed it up:rolleyes:

lukeskywalker1: listen to wedge! :D

 

If you use sof2map in GtkRadiant then the red lines don't show up automatically, you have to load them up in File menu with Pointfile.

 

Once they are shown, just follow them in 3D view to find the place where the line goes outside of your map.
