i just figured out a funny (but cheap) trick on the tatoonie boards.

if you scout around early and hit a big bag of SANDCRAWLERS (the more you hit - the more you can find)

and start scouting in all directions, you will hit a lot of krayt (-sp) dragons which will attack the crawlers.

 

you can get abour 3 or 4 at a time attacking one sandcrawler.

 

so what do you do, since it takes forever for the crawlers to die?

 

ROLL INTO THE ENEMYS CAMP OF COURSE!

after they smash the crawlers they will go for the carbon or food workers.

 

it's funny as hell.

 

course it is kind of cheap - but an intresting way to use the map for your advantage.

 

i was already to tech 2 and the other guy was fending off krayt dragons left and right with no carbon. he got kind of mad and left in a huff, but i thought of it last minute - it wasn't planned.

It's not cheap. It's an effective tactic. Use it to your advantage. Don't listen to what people say. In war, you use all the advantages you can get... I would...

It was with Jawas and Krayt.

It's quite effective. Althought micro intensive.

you can do a similar thing with medics/probots

quite common by very good players using the empire... probot rushes usually attract all beasts, then they blow up with them near all your workers. costing you VALUABLE worker time early on.

Ive done something similar to that i lured dragons and tuskens into my enemy's main carbon section they killed 30 of his carbon worker's hehe
