Psynex
I was deleting some old posts when I realized that offering credits to someone that deletes a thread they started offers another way to earn and also promotes a cleaner forum. uh? uh? *nudges shoulders*
Taos
The problem with this is when you start deleting threads you lose post count as well. If this were done people would be screaming all hell about where their posts' went. Honestly, it's not a problem anyways......if we think the thread is poor [meaning against forum rules] we just click on that 'close thread' option that we have and then we won't be bothered with again. It's not a terrible idea.........I know for me personally, I would just rather not listen to all the whinning about post counts.
Psynex
whoa! That doesn't seem right. Deleting posts shoudn't have any effect on the number of posts you've submitted. If that's a known 'thing' why not just update the code? Or is it not in the user portion of this "some company"-powered forum? I'll no longer delete any more messages knowing this. I don't want people getting mad at me for deleting posts, nor do I want my count to drop either.
matt--
People will also just create and delete threads repeatedly.
