DarthRickP
Hi, I am a newbie here but I have gotten a good deal of help reading and searching for info that I need to make my multiplayer hosting work wonderfully. My problem is when I play in multiplayer everyone has the same skin/character I have. I am not running any mods or new skins. I am choosing from the default options. If I choose Luke, everyone is Luke, just the lightsaber colors are different. Even the Bots look like me. I tried to search on this and came up empty. It does not matter if I host a game myself, join a friends game or go on a public server. Everyone has the same skin as me. I can change my skin mid game, but any new comers to the game look like me too. Its not just a coincidence either because I know the guys I game with have completely different skins than I do. I am running the patch and so is everyone else that I game with. Can someone point out what I am doing wrong please? Thanks
Datheus
You have Force Models on... Go to Setup in the main menu and click on Game Options. Set Force Player Models to Off. That should fix your problem.
DarthRickP
Thanks, Just exactly does having force models turned on do other than make everyone look the same and why would any one want it on anyway? I just was curious. Thanks for the help. I'll set it up and try it tonight.
Andy867
it would be use for servers that only have the default models, and it would help keep lag down since no 3rd party models/skins/mods are being loaded which would require excess bandwidth and cpu processing as well as graphical rendering on the client pcs.
