reptille00
I see in alot of screens, what looks like NPC's helping you fight(besides the two other characters in your party..example: I see sith troopers helping you in a screenshot..also I see people from tatooine helping you kill sandpeople, so im guessing throughout the game you get assistance from other NPC's to help you fight occasionaly..anyone know if this is somewhat correct? thanks in advance. Burrie
I would think so... surely the game would just not be the PC and two allies against the world, would it? Besides, the developers did hint at some ground battles in the early previews, so I guess it'll feature various non-controllable NPCs who'll fight at your side at some point. ultimaster
On Tatooine, for example, everybody hates Sand People so if they see somebody being attacked by them, they would help fend them off. Jedi Apprentice
Not much left to discuss in this thread I guess. What I want to see is how smart these "allies" will be. I would also like to be able to have some interaction with them. The large-scale battles should be awesome though. I think Burrie handled all the work here. ultimaster
You can talk to just about every NPC in the game I think, which obviously gives you a large level of interaction with ambient characters. They will most likely be competent fighters who will help you out when sharing a common enemy, like the sand people.
Jedi Apprentice
What I meant by interaction though is more than just a hi. Maybe you would even see these people in more than one battle. I know that you will be able to interact with basically everyone, but I always want to go to that deeper level.
Burrie
Although I must say that I like thought of recurring allies helping you, I really doubt wether we'll see anything like it. Surely Bioware would've given some statement about it.(mayhaps they did earlier at the official forums) I personally would think that these fighting NPCs would be more like the rebel soldiers in MotS(albeit, hopefully, a bit more loyal and faster to react) or the allies you could get in the Fallout series(hopefully, with better aim). You'll meet them, maybe talk with them to give 'em some kind of orders, and whenever an enemy approaches, they'll fight with you. I don't think you can activate or "become" then, unlike the other team NPCs. Also, I expect that they won't be protect by the magical "aura"() that protects the player and his team NPC allies... once they're killed, they ARE killed and won't get up after the battle. As always, this is mostly speculation on my part...
