Qns on Combat Sys Answered

Well, I think having an 'auto-pause' is an extremely bad idea. I prefer free-flowing gameplay, although in NWN I did pause battles a few times. I would prefer to remain in control of pausing...otherwise it's going to feel too much like turn-based combat. I thought the whole idea was to make it feel more real-time? :confused:

My expectations are that this "auto-pause" feature will be pretty much like the X-Com Apocalypse game. Meaning that it will be a fully optional choice, and that you can configure the game to "auto-pause" only at several events, like...

* A PC goes down

* An enemy is killed

* PC spotted enemy

* PC damaged by enemy

My thoughts exactly Burrie. I don't think Bioware would make the auto-pause unoptional. That would be a crazy step on their part.

I also agree with Stormy on how I would use this. I want to control the pausing myself. I would only pause in extreme cases or what he already stated.

Thanks for the link Swat! :)

That's how they handled it before, with check boxes beside each option.

Since they have the cool slo-mo thing now I probably won't need to pause that much..plus there are only 3 chars in your party compared to the 6 they had in Baldur's Gate serie
