Mix_Master2k
ok so, rotating a model from the XY tope view 360 degress was fun and all, but, how do i position a misc_model to lie horizontally from its orginal postition?
Leslie Judge
As I remember you have to specify an angles key with the X, Y and Z rotation respectively. For example: "angles" "0 180 0"
wedge2211
As I recall the angles value corresponds to <yaw pitch roll>. Not sure which axis those are centered about, though...

aazell
Do you wan't your model to rotate in the map? as in a ship turning round on an axis? If so you need to create a func_train and some path points. Hit the rotate box on each path point and then play with the placement of them in the map until you get the movement right. If you just want to rotate your model on the x axis (I.E. horizontally) then just use the compass controls at the bottom of the entities window. If you want to rotate on the Y and Z axis then you should probably create a func_train and give it only 1 path point. With then orientate that path point to the rotation you would like using the compass controls.
Leslie Judge
What I mentioned, using "angles" is working well. Of course not in JK2Radiant nor with sof2map.
Mix_Master2k
thank you LJ i love you...i had put in "angle" instead of "angles" doh!
Leslie Judge
As far as I know "angle" rotates around Z axis only.
Captian
i believe, that yaw is horizontal(left-right) pitch is vertical(up-down] and roll is, you know on its side. but then again i need to look those up. *curses his poor english*
