Darth Knight
Me and my friends want to start some video editing. We want to record stuff from our xbox, ps2, or gc to the computer. I found this card on compusa.com, http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=298152&pfp=SEARCH. By the description it seems like it does everything i want it to. I was just wondering if this looks like it would be a good card, and if any one knows if it will record stuff from the consoles.

Darth Eggplant
http://www.hyperion.com has something called hypercam it is suppose to film whatevers on your screen and turn it into a movie. I have hypersnap which can take pics from cinematics and video's but only still shots. hypersnap works great, I am assuming hypercam will too. costs about 35-40 american. BCanr2d2
The only issue I see with it, that it does it's own compression, even before you get the footage onto your PC. With the size of HDD these days, and external HDD of 250+ GB, why would they really have the need for compression there. Why not allow the user to chose, since there is more than one kind of DVD quality. The Superbit DVD transfers show that it doesn't have to be as lossy as most DVD's are.... Also it locks you into having it compress the video for you, what if they bring in DVD2, which has a much better picture, you'd be stuck with this underperforming card, hope it allows you to turn off the compression.... There is more than just using it to capture your XBOX/PS2 games.
