TheChosenOne-
----A former smuggler, and skilled Jedi, who has chosen to retreat from society and live out his days in seclusion and obscurity, Jolee Bindo cloaks himself in indifference to hide his sorrow. He appears as a cantankerous old man who readily dismisses the wide world and its troubles with an impatient wave of his hand, but his care and wisdom still shine through the many layers he has draped around his heart. His story is unknown aside from rumors that he fought in the great war of Exar Kun four decades ago, a time when Jedi turned against Jedi and the dark side threatened to swallow the galaxy. What happened so long ago that would push a man to leave the Jedi order, to leave civilization itself and go into self-imposed exile in the deepest shadows of wild Kashyyyk? Jolee himself is not forthcoming and scoffs at any suggestion that he might be something more than what he appears: an old man. One thing that is very clear; he is weary of this world and its endless, pointless struggles. He insists that all he wants is peace, but Jolee Bindo's eyes, the eyes of a fighter, the eyes of a Jedi - tell a different story.------------------------------------------------- ********* Ok,i'm thinking hes in hiding.Suffering cause of the deaths of his friends or something.Hes probably one of those characters that DON"T wanna be bothered anymore with stuff. You know-leave me alone with my bottle stuff. He'll probably be mad depressing,or "woe is me' attitude.Another theory could be that during the last war,he was tempted by the darkside, and maybe killed innocent people.Thats why hes in exile-to get rid of the guilt and dark temptions.Maybe he was forced to kill his former master or padawan in that battle. He kinda looks like the villian from Tekken, whos name i can't spell-lol.He might prove to be a great ally, but i highly doubt he makes it to the end of the game. Burrie
Aaaah, Jolee Bindo... the first character ever introduced for Knights of the Old Republic, I believe. He's bound to be another one of the great additions to the party. (come to think of it, are there any weak additions?) Ok,i'm thinking hes in hiding.Suffering cause of the deaths of his friends or something.Hes probably one of those characters that DON"T wanna be bothered anymore with stuff. You know-leave me alone with my bottle stuff. He'll probably be mad depressing,or "woe is me' attitude. Well, he certainly is in hiding... his own bio says it I somehow don't expect him to go all "Oooh, life is so tough for me! *cries*" emotional kind of character. He might have most of it bottled up inside of him. Another theory could be that during the last war,he was tempted by the darkside, and maybe killed innocent people.Thats why hes in exile-to get rid of the guilt and dark temptions.Maybe he was forced to kill his former master or padawan in that battle. If Bioware wants to do a neat tie-in with the Tales of the Jedi story, they could say that Bindo's student was persuaded by Exar's talks and promises. For those who don't know, Exar had a group of students whom he slowly seduced to the Dark Side. Their greatest mission was to seek out their masters, and kill them. This cost the lives of a great deal of Jedi Masters... if Bindo's padawan did try to kill him, it might be a motivation as to why Bindo went into hiding. It should be noted that Bindo did not fight in the Mandalorian wars, only in the Sith Wars. Still, I expect that his self-imposed exile will have something to do with the storyline. He might've trained Malak or Revan, his student is at the Dark Jedi Academy... like you said, he might've gone to the Dark Side at one point himself. EDIT : Mayhaps Juhani will somehow factor into this. He might prove to be a great ally, but i highly doubt he makes it to the end of the game. Same here... he might be a damn lot stronger than the average PC, seeing as how he is a Jedi Master and such. Granted, perhaps he had let his Force Power dwindle throughout the years, but he's still a Force to be reckoned with. And, of course, just look at his characteristics... 1) Exiled Jedi Master 2) Might train the upcoming hero/villain of the galaxy 3) Will stand up to fight the bad guys again after a time of hiding Heck, Bioware could've let him hold up a sign saying "I'm gonna die", and they would've been more subtle. Then again, they could also surprise us and he'll survive the entire game.
Eets
I think I'm gonna have Jolee & HK-47 in my party strictly for the comedic value. Or maybe Jolee & Zaalbar.. Or maybe Jolee & Canderous... DAMMIT! I CAN'T DECIDE!!
Jedi Apprentice
My thoughts (take them however you want to): He will be a real hard head and will be stuck in his ways. It will probabaly take more than a simple conversation to get him to join you, unless he has a personal vendetta to take care of or he is just trying to help the Jedi again. I think he will be a very skilled combatant, but will always provide the pessimist viewpoints on different situations. He'll also probabaly be one of those "old" guys that knows everything. I think he will probabaly play the grumpy, funny guy also. IE: Don't mess with him when he is sleeping. Just some thoughts, not sure I think they will all happen, but that's how I always envision him. I also think he will die somewhere in the game (I don't want him to), unless they are trying to save him for the sequel. *drools* And Eets, I guess you'll just have to play it with every combination. TheChosenOne-
I'm glad someone kinda agrees with me,i highly doubt this 'jedi master; will make it to the end.Even if he dies, maybe he'll return in the sequel as a force ghost.

Jedi Apprentice
Originally posted by Burrie Who needs a sequel for a Force Ghost to appear? Now theres a good thought. Maybe he will die 3/4ths or so during the game and then would be there to help you against Malak or other struggles. Kind've like how RoTJ was planned to be at first with Obi and Yoda helping Luke fight Vader. It's a very interesting thought, but I still want him to live. *Goes back to counting possible story options of game*
Dharkbayne
I'd say he was seriously scarred by something, and has seen things that human eyes are not meant to see, and has done something, and as punishment, he exiled himself, I am not sure, all I know, is that there is alot more than what we see on the surface. . . Uber_Saber
I think, if I were in Bioware, I'd put this guy in, with all these indications of him probably dying in the game, and then kill somebody else instead. Or several somebodies. But I'd let Bindo live.
TheChosenOne-
WHAT IF................WHAT IF>>>>>>>> He was the one who trained Darth bandon BEFORE he left for the darkside.Maybe hes in hiding due to the remorse of knowing his former padawan killed several jedi????That somehow,he blames himself....hows that for a theory. Burrie
I suppose something like that could be true as well... they are both bald and Jedi But then again... so is Malak
Vorith
I'm pretty sure Bindo will die. Same old story. Your character will meet him, and after time become an apprentice of sorts after he drops the cover story, and admits to being a Jedi Master. Eventuall he'll be killed, most likely by Malak, leaving his hopeless apprentice to defeat Malak and take on the title of Jedi Master. It may be in a future expansion, but I'm pretty confident that's where the plot is going. The Republic lasts nearly another four thousand years, so Malak has to be put down. Player might as well be the one to do it, right?
