lukeskywalker1
Ok, i downloaded a prefab, or 2 of em, but i always email the guy who made it, and ask for permission to use it. no response... i did again, and still nothing. its been 2-3 weeks.... so has this happend to anyone? prefabs are made to be put in game... so... should i just give him credit in the readme and go on.... they are really good too. -lukeskywalker1
PRSLou
Yeah...that's what prefabs are for. You don't need permission to use them (because I mean its made for people to use), but it's a good idea to give them credit in the readme.

tFighterPilot
lol, it would be like I would email every one that made a model that I used with in my mod.
PRSLou
Personally, I think it's best if you do email people asking to use their models and/or work if it's not specifically a prefab or if permission is not given in the readme.
Eldritch
What Louis said is correct... unless the readme states that the model(s) may be used without permission, you should always email the author to ask. Prefabs are meant to be used in maps though, and the author should only be credited in the readme.
