Kjølen
Ok, this is a technical question (Though not a monkey island tech question so if this gets moved...). As you've probably guessed from the title. I want to burn avi files onto a CD-R disk too play in my DVD player. Now I'm not going to take the file and convert it into a layer-1 MPEG file. It takes too long and makes the file TOO big. Any ideas how to burn AVIs onto a CD-R without convering it? And possibly without blowing up the filesize? (Note: Obviously I have a CD-RW;))
scabb
Erm... just burn it? Just create a new ISO file/Data CD and add the file to it (try Nero). That is, if your DVD player supports DivX/XviD/Any other MPEG-4 hacks. Which it probably doesn't. You should probably: a) Get a TV-out b) Just convert it (Try TMPGEnc) c) Watch whatever you want to watch on the monitor.
Surfnshannon
i transfered an avi file to play on a cdr in my dvd player by making a VCD. My program that edits DVD movies from my video camera makes them. I think its called ONDVD. I know it sounds technical. But I just went through all this with trying to create DVD's from Home Movies. I made VCD's instead of DVD's because i didn't want to use the expensive DVD R's
