Dan'mah D'upre
Through my reading I haven't been able to find the answer to this: If we openly become sith, will the characters of our group leave if they are Jedi? and if so, do we get other characters (sith.) that will then only be capable of joining our group? Frosty_V2.1
Yep, if you are being too nice or too naughty some of them may decide to leave, but not all of sudden, they'll let you know if they don't like the way you handle things. As for Sith, probably not, there are some guys that would be considered evil that you could swap in though. We don't really know if becoming a Sith will happen, but you can be a Dark Jedi. You can be going up and down to the light or dark side through most of the game as well, so perhaps you will be able to get the NPCs back if you be good again. Jedi Apprentice
We haven't got any solid answers on this question yet. From what we have heard, some characters will follow you into whatever road you take while the others will stand firm, but still stick around with you and some, like Frosty said, might even up and leave if they don't like your decisions. We don't know about the last part for sure though. Example-- Your PC goes to the dark side. Bastila follows you, but Jolee sticks light side. There are so many options though that we don't know for sure. I guess we'll just have to see.
Dan'mah D'upre
I guess waiting is the only way to find out the real answers for sure. will we be able to buy the crystals? Or will our money not be able to be used like that? are there shops, like in Morrowind?? EDIT: Gotta love those devs.
Jedi Apprentice
There will be shops, but it is highly unlikely that you will be able to buy crystals for your lightsaber(s) at these shops. The devs have said that you will mainly get them through quests, enemies, allies and perhaps even at the academy. Heck, there might even be a Jedi/Sith shop from what the devs have said. The devs beat around the bush bad though, so it's just another one of those things you have to wait on.
DracoFXB
Why won't they just come out and tell us?
Jedi Apprentice
If they tell one small detail then soon they will be telling a lot of small details, which in turn adds up to big details which ruins the whole game. small details-->numerous small details--> Large details --> Ruining of game And besides, small things like this are half the fun. I want to find everything out on my own. Not by reading it.
Frosty_V2.1
Doh, my bad, I've read about 300 threads today on the official forums so I am starting to get blurry vision. All I will say is this: the NPC's will react to your progression along the light or dark path. Some of them you will be able to influence in how they progress on their own path, some you will not. Either way there will eventually come a point where those who stand solidly on the light or dark path will no longer be able to deny what you have become and they will be forced to choose what to do in response... each according to the type of character they are. _________________ David Gaider Design, Bioware corp. "HUZZAH!" --- battle cry of Deekin Scalesinger, Kobold bard extraordinaire I think that was a good post and this.. Casey Hudson - Project Producer/Director This is actually one of the reasons that it's very hard to go to the dark side in this game (for most people anyway). I've tried at times to play as an evil character, but the writing and voice-acting is usually so good that I feel really bad about it! Bullying someone to get credits or information may sound easy enough, but when Carth reprimands me for it, I feel like a real jerk in comparison to a hero like him. I think the trick to going to the dark side will be bringing along party members who are willing to be equally ruthless. It's really quite interesting seeing the way, particularly the QA guys, come up with vague answers Gaider: *pulls out the whip* "Bad Chris! Bad QA personality! WHIP! WHIP!! Back to the pit!" Chris: "More! I like it." and...interesting... going ons... -plus it will make it even more of an occasion when you finally get the game
Hannibal
I just thought of something that would be cooler than anything I've ever thought of about this game before: What if when you turn to the darkside you're the one that kills Jolee Bindu(if'n he be the one that dies). That would be cooler than cool. I'd send all my money to Bioware then 10% of everything I make till I die. ed.
Dharkbayne
That's why when I go evil, i'm gonna take HK-47 and some other evil d00d
Burrie
I like your thinking, Hannibal... I can see it now... Malak saying that if we'll join him, we must kill Bindo to prove our allegiance. If we go Dark, ZAP. However, if your character takes a deep breath and says "No... you've failed, your highness. I'm a Jedi", Malak merely shrugs and does the dirty deed himself. You know, we've been discussing so far about wether anyone of the party will leave us once we go the Dark Side, but has it actually ever been asked wether the vice versa is also true? Will team members leave us if we'll stay true to the Light Side? The way I see it, it just might happen. Perhaps the only way to keep Bastilla Shan in your party is to stay Dark, mayhaps we can't redeem her And I still do not trust Canderous completely, I might see him leaving as well. Juhani might be a Dark Jedi for all we know, and HK-47 might be the coolest droid around, but can we trust him?
Dharkbayne
How does everyone know Bastilla goes to the dark side? Do you have any solid proof? As for me, I think that the most evil char is.... TM-34!!! THE MAITENANCE DROID FROM HELL!!!!!

Very nice hmmm would be a bit of deja vu, IMO Malak is quite the splitting image of Jerec..of course Jan is much hotter than Jolee so of course I'd save her
Seifer02
WAIT! Whats this about Jolee biting the dust, i was gonna have him in my party. if he dies my party will be severly weakened. Is there any reason to believe he dies, or is that just some random guess. If it's possible i wotn be able to use him for the end of the game, i'll play with carth instead. Burrie
This is nothing more than more speculation on our part... but it's a theory that I really support. Let me give you some facts about Jolee Bindo... #1. Possible Jedi Master to main hero #2. Has gone into hiding for a long time #3. Will go out of hiding because of the hero #4. Might've trained the bad guy(more speculation here) #5. Carries a blue saber Sum this up together... and he reminds me of a certain other Jedi Master. Especially being the Jedi Master of the hero has never quite furthered one's life expectancy. But again, this is nothing more than speculation... Bindo might survive and actually become one of the strongest in the party, who knows... don't let this keep you from using Bindo. I, for one, will have him in my party. So I'm sure anyone who will or might die will spend plenty of time in your party.
ultimaster
You'll know someone's gonna die when they're forced to be in your party at some stage in the game. If you can't leave them on the ship, then chances are they're coming along to further the plot whether that involves dieing or not.
