The Cheat Posted June 22, 2003 Posted June 22, 2003 In episode I didnt they say that there are transmitters put in all slaves and they can be used to blow you up if you try to escape? Why didnt they use these "transmitters" on darth vader to destroy him easily? sounds like a simple fix to a problem
Macbeth2k1 Posted June 22, 2003 Posted June 22, 2003 It was removed when he was freed from Watto. Or, he removed it himself. He said he was building a scanner to find his so he could remove it.
The Cheat Posted June 23, 2003 Author Posted June 23, 2003 but i never knew he actually found it, i thought it was still inside of him
Macbeth2k1 Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 You never see a Stormtrooper reload his rifle, you just know it happens at some point.
The Cheat Posted June 23, 2003 Author Posted June 23, 2003 ok, well then why did they even mention it in the first movie? it just confuses me so much
coupes. Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 just to let you know that Qui-gon couldn't just have taken Anakin with him without the consent of Watto, and that he really neaded to be freed.
Carbon_sleeper Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 It's been a while since I've read it, so I may be wrong, but I'm fairly sure that in TPM novel, Watto removes Anakin's transmitter.
Macbeth2k1 Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 Agreed, if they hadn't made the point of them having them, then you'd be asking, "why they just didn't stow away on a ship and leave the planet?"
The Cheat Posted June 23, 2003 Author Posted June 23, 2003 well then watto would probably just send a bounty hunter after them
JediNyt Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 That costs alot of money. Transmitters are cheaper and more effective.
The Cheat Posted June 24, 2003 Author Posted June 24, 2003 well i dunno, i just didnt think they ever got the transmitter removed but now i know i am wrong so thanks for correcting me
LiMP RABBiT Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 Yeah, when theyre are freed it is probably removed or shutdown.
