The crown jewel of the summer comes via Lucas Arts with their very highly anticipated (and often delayed) Star Wars®: Knights of the Old Republic™. Set 4000 years before the original trilogy, Knights of the Old Republic welcomes gamers back to a more civilized age, where Jedi Knights are the guardians of the Old Republic. Customize your character, and go to war with the Sith, but in an interesting twist, the choices you make throughout your adventure will determine whether you use the force for good or succumb to the Dark Side. The game boasts gorgeous visuals, well over 50 hours of gameplay, land-based and shooting missions, mini games, and a ton of characters to interact with. You'll be able to travel to Tatooine, the Wookie home world of Kashyyk, and several other exotic locales, while assembling a party comprised of up to three characters. Engage in intense blaster or light saber battles, and when you need a break from the action, play a mini game. I think the game's delays will prove well worth it. Burrie Posted June 25, 2003 Author Share Posted June 25, 2003 Wow, gamers.com certainly has a few nifty screenshots. They had a lot of screenshots that I really liked. Note the character shots, especially that HK-47 is lurking in some dark, red shadows(being close to the Dark Side an' all) whilst Carth and Zaalbar are almost literally basking on a glow of their goodiness(if that's a word). Seifer02 Posted June 26, 2003 Share Posted June 26, 2003 That screenshot of the super evil pc was freaky, he has dakr blue veins popping out of his head, and I-have-never-brushed-my-teeth-in-my-life yellow eyes. Pretty nasty. The only thing that bothered me is that none of the combat efficient characters i saw had a good intellegence for demolition. I can only vaguely remember the picture, wasn't it on the old site before they swapped it with a golden double-bladed saber-armed Bastilla Shan? What's more, the devs at the official forums said that they would polish up the game as always before releasing the game Anyway, I hope you change your view about the game. I guess i can live with a slightly less than perfect looking game. I just got done watching that 21 min. vid and the ingame action looks awesome, i guess its just becasue its a still and not moving.
