mrchuck85 Posted June 28, 2003 Share Posted June 28, 2003 The performance im getting with dail up is incredible, U do get lag burst someitmes when u go into the city, but u never freeze like if u tried to play Counter-Strike with a modem, I was in a group with quite a few people and everyone seemed to have a jitery frame rates in certain areas of the cities... So if u have dail up dont be afraid to get the game... minus the updates... If a massive update comes out ill just take my tower over to my friends houes and plug into his dsl... Thats what friends are for right! Anyone else playing with a modem? I was reading somewhere that the average speed it runs at is around 2kbs and it spikes to 15-20 in diffrent areas... The only lag problem I have is because I only have 256 RAM. If you only have 256, get more! If you don't, you'll have to restart your computer every 3 hours.
