amishler
This is still interesting and exciting news, but at first I was confusing Private Moon Studios with Planet Moon Studios, and after what I've heard about Giants and Armed & Dangerous, that would have put me through the roof with excitement about these games. Even so, this sounds like an idea with great potential.
Homoludens
Yeah, and I thought Uru: Ages Beyond Myst was going to be the only online adventure game we'll ever have.
pleto4_ryan
Firstly i really like the name...(ancient games of nations Nice) AGON (dunno if they did it on purpose but that's the a greek word meaning "struggle, fight, conflict" Distribution - The game will not be available in traditional stores but gamers will have to visit the game's website, http://www.agongame.com for each episode. By choosing distribution over the Internet, Private Moon Studios is shortcutting the usual channels of distribution. This allows this small company to market its product without the several years of delay that usually takes place between the idea of an adventure game and its actual marketing. This method also enables users to directly support developers both financially and with their input of ideas. The release of episode one is due in September and will be followed by further episodes bimonthly. An idea in the mind of many other producer companies as it takes out much of the expenses for packaging and shipping...and good for the customers as everyone can get it the day it is realeased.Problems are for those with no quick internet...(but of course...we cannot blame them for doing something good, can we? ) the idea of the series isn't actually new. There has been a series "forgotten"(?) that when the first got out it was going to be a 9 episode series...the first was the proplogue...I believe some months before i have seen the first episode...but i think something bad happened at the company that made it... anyway...if the episodes are gonna get every month that's best...(a little uru smells like... ) but the whole "board games" dunno but doesn't sound really good....i will wait to see it in action... Through his eyes, the player is likely to discover documents and objects in the offices and stores of the Museum. that i like. reminds a little dear Indy
