BowntyHontur Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 Does anyone know what this is? A pop-up frequently goes on my screen and says that Windows needs to restart because RPC has been terminated unexpectantly. Is this SWG or my comp? Could a memory upgrade take this away (my comp has 256ram)?
darthfergie Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 It's your comp...not sure how to fix it...but I do know a friend of mine complained about it killing his comp every time he turned it on just this morning and he doesn't have SWG.

thespider Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 this was a virus that hit the earth on the 12/10/03. The infected file is in system 32. The trimer comes when you use your internet. Check Windows update for a patch to close the loop hole on this.

My poor lil innocent mother has it on her comp and im in the process of getting rid of it, its a pain in the arse. (hopefully it didnt spread to my comp). Since i woke up i have talked to at least 3 other people that are getting this virus also. Be cautious, as it seems like its spreadin like the plague across the internet
zarak da zabrak Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 Theres a fix out now called "pqremove" or Panda quickremover that eliminates the blaster but if you're inffected and rebooting that quickly good luck getting it. Sorry i don't have a website address, someone emailed me the freeware.
