this is soooo 2 years ago - she said no

Recommended Posts

evening all.

so for those of you that know me, thats quiff by the way, two fs a lot of hair gel, the girl in question will not be accompanying me to the prom or any sort of social engagement. she said no, its over. i feel alright, guess i was fighting what galadriel would have called the long defeat. you know you will not succeed but you continue. not out of hope. but out of pride, honour and more than a little ignorance. im looking forward to being alone for a while, taking stock, and enjoying college. im straight edge now, no drugs, no drink. things are clear. and life is good.

two thoughts, the lyrics to my favourite song, and a thought from my favourite poet. enjoy. Dream Forever.

Title: La Cienega Just Smiled

Album: Gold

"Ah the night...here it comes again"

It's on with the jeans, the jacket and the shirt

How'd I end up feeling so bad

For such a little girl

And I hold you close in the back of my mind

Feels so good but damn it makes me hurt

And I'm too scared to know how I feel about you now

La Cienega just smiles..."see ya around"

And I hold you close in the back of my mind

And raise my glass 'cause either way I'm dead

Neither of you really help me to sleep anymore

One breaks my body and the other breaks my soul

La Cienega just smiles as it waves goodbye

"Ah the night...here it comes again"

It's off with the jeans, the jacket and the shirt

How'd I end up feeling so bad

for such a little girl

And I hold you close in the back of my mind

Feels so good but damn it makes me hurt

And I'm too scared to know how I feel about you now

How I feel about you now

La Cienega just smiles and says, "I'll see you around"

Acceptance

by: Robert Frost (1875 - 1963)

When the spent sun throws up its rays on cloud

And goes down burning into the gulf below,

No voice in nature is heard to cry aloud

At what has happened. Birds, at least must know

It is the change to darkness in the sky.

Murmuring something quiet in her breast,

One bird begins to close a faded eye;

Or overtaken too far from his nest,

Hurrying low above the grove, some waif

Swoops just in time to his remembered tree.

At most he thinks or twitters softly, 'Safe!

Now let the night be dark for all of me.

Let the night bee too dark for me to see

Into the future. Let what will be, be.'
