  1. I saw on your site that you had:

    Levithan Strike

    New Soilder Clothing

    Tk102 Birthday mod

    Regin Of The Sith

Could you send a copy please? Thx.

  2. Writing complaints about the organization of the forum on you visitor message page is not going to get your ideas seen. This page is for people to leave you public messages. There is a Feedback Section of the forum where you can give staff member your thoughts on the site and these forums.

Before you leave your ideas in the feedback section, I’d suggest you read the descriptions of the sections and the subsections and you may find, like Jae Onasi pointed out, the mods are organized.

    Welcome to the forums.

  3. Finished projects are in the "Taris Upper City Emporium" (clicky), and the forum is labeled as the place for finished mods. They have tags in the thread titles describing if they're for Kotor 1 or TSL. Since this entire forum is only for finished projects, there is no need to label them as 'finished'.

We call what you describe as 'beta' mods "Works in Progress", or WIPs. The are located in this forum (clicky). They have "WIP" tags in the thread titles.

If you want to find a specific mod in the Mod request thread, use the search function. That will speed up the process for you.

  4. You could have the same mod posted 10 times in a 37 page MOD Request Thread? Thats insane. How do you ever plan finding anything then? It's way easier to find where the thread was created on, then post a new link. Everyone goes to the last pages for new links.

Personally, I would remove the Modding Group names and put headings like Finished Projects, Beta Projects, ect... That's if you want to allow people to host their stuff in Beta here. Limits so much confusion of people wondering what's finished and what isn't.

  5. Hell ya I'm a lurker. This MOD request Page is a bad idea. You're not the only MOD community that has released content for KOTOR. You're MOD request thread is buried under different Modding Groups?. That's crazy. Why this site would allow this is beyond me. Private Modding Groups have their own private forums where they can promote their names. The only way to find anything is to google it or use your search engine. And you know what pops up, usually the initial thread where the content was posted. It would be 100 times easier for everyone to just let people ask for new links on the threads these Mods were created on.

A: This has come up several times, and after some discussion we decided that if you can prove you tried reasonably to acquire permission, we will post the file. You still must adequately credit the original author and include that file's read-me. "Reasonably" means that you must make a valid effort to get in touch with the author. Sending an e-mail out on Monday and then requesting the file be posted on Tuesday because you could not get in touch with the author won't work. It is also important to note that if the missing author returns at some point and request the file be removed, we will remove it.

  7. I'm sorry, but I think it is very organized. You just seem to be acting like a lurker, who just goes around complaining. Almost half of your posts are requesting links be fix to mods. And by reading the other half of your posts, you seem to think that regardless if you can't get a hold of a mod creator, you should still release the mod anyways. Honestly, I have no idea if you are a mod creator or what. But, for example, If you were a mod creator, and you made something, but left the community for one reason or another (A little thing called life) How would you feel if someone went around releasing your mod (Or mods) without even mentioning that you created it. Also, if you don't like the way the site is run ("Crazy drunk pirate") why not start your own site. Also, If you want to tell people how you feel about this site (and have some suggestions on how to make it easier to use) Maybe make a forum posting, instead of leaving a “visitor message” on your own profile.

  8. Wow, this is probably the most unorganized modding community I've ever seen. KOTOR is very similar to the Modding community of Neverwinter Nights' IGN site. Everyone would upload their stuff there and then comment below. They used this forum site like a crazy drunk pirate. Even the names on the headings are really old and have no purpose even being on here anymore. Someone should clean this place up more. Thx for the info.

  9. The most common link you'll see from recent mods is kotorfiles, a part of the filefront network, and the most common you'll see from older mods is PCGM, which has, unfortunately, crashed. My modding groups are, yes, mostly dead (exiled studios is really only me at this point, Canyon has crashed and burned and Exiled rose from the ashes, a lot of other groups for discussing bigger mod projects also are probably is disuse...).

And there are no "Sections", just threads, where, in holowan, a modder can post WIPs while the masses go "ooh" and "aah", in the taris upper city emporium, a modder can release a mod for the masses to download and go "ooh" and "aah" while actually playing it. In the modding request forum, you can post a request and hope an active modder will see it and maybe take your request. And in that same forum, you can request any mod that is hosted on PCGM, and, IIRC, any site that has been proclaimed Dead on Arrival.

  10. This forum is ancient. I have no idea where to post what I need. There's so much crap here it's impossible to find anything. You got modders post links from all different kind of sites. There's Modding Group names that probably don't exist anymore. When I look for KOTOR stuff, I have to choose from which modder's section I want? No offense, but this place is a mess.

  11. I need to get my hands on Korriban Crystal Cave v1.1. Can you please repost the link or email it to me. It would be better if you repost it. Maybe put it on KOTOR site.

  12. You link for Sith Armada Mod is dead. Please repost it.
