Oh, I love how Melee Town looks. Faithful to the SOMI, but still feels fresh and new

Ron did mention years ago that he would make the source code available for anyone who would want to make fan games. Things might have changed, but if that does turn out to be true, we could be looking forward to a future with awesome fan games, even if this one indeed turns out to be the last Monkey island game

This probably thinking too far ahead, but do you think this new game could lead to even more Ron Gilbert Monkey Island games?

Atmosphere, that magical combination of sense of place and evocative music, that lingering feeling that still thrives years after playing the games, that was always my main takeaway from the monkey Island series. And it's in that sense that the first three games excel and the other two falter, regardless of any plot holes or lore breaking elements that were never as important to me

Excited this seems to take place on Meleé Island, judging by the website. That was always my favorite location. I just hope it feels cluttered with houses and buildings, and not as wide and spacey as it felt in MI4

How do fellow Europeans plan to buy this? Because with a 170$ price tag, plus 60$ for shipping, plus the pretty much unavoidable customs fees for such a bulky box, we're looking at a 300$ plus investment

So, thanks to Laserschwert's wonderful efforts, I decided to print the poster art for the first two Monkey Island games and have them framed in old, piratey-looking frames I found in thrift-shops. This is the result:
