Hi Besli, I guess it would be great to introduce the topics so users can undertstand what is it all about and what is the goal of the thread. I understand it's a thread about original artwork of video game restoration right ? I might have good ones too ! (I'm finishing Golden axe poster)

New website dedicated to Big boxes
bennywhitebread replied to bennywhitebread's topic in General Discussion
Haha my bad! fixed now! -
Hi all ! Following the "hot" discussion last month on the thread "Project Big boxes", I decided to create a small website called Big Box Love to share my work on some bigboxes restoration. https://www.bigboxlove.eu You'll find manuals, logos, big boxes in TIFF file and more. I mainly share 600 to 1200DPI PNG , JPG and Tif files. Be gentle, I'm not a designer and I don't have the skills of @Laserschwert but its my contribution to the preservation of those wonderful years of gaming ! My first idea was to share it as a Pack.ly ready-to-print file but the raised their price and I didn't find a easy way to flatten all layers in one so I decided to share TIF files for the boxes. But my first work was on manuals restoration and I'll keep adding more medias. Positive feedbacks are appreciated so I can improve the website according to your ideas and my time. Hope you'll enjoy it ! Have a nice day ! PS: Nearly finished the golden axe poster and heretic box restoration . Stay tuned !

LucasArts Posters: The Revenge
bennywhitebread replied to Laserschwert's topic in General Discussion
Hi @Laserschwert, EDIT: @Laserschwert Just added a new scan version of Front and Back because I saw the first versions were cropped Here you can find my scans of the Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe box https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1pZb6H0fD7wQMKbK_ddVKB-XCWXFp5kcb?usp=sharing I have included * Front part of the box * Back part of the box * Back part of the manual so the background pattern can be easily cleaned and expanded I guess * Wheel I can do other scans today if you want since I'm at work with good quality copy printer. I have quickly compared the poster you posted few days ago and my box and I think it's pretty much the same except for the colors. Mine are a bit "greener" than the poster you have. (which, for me, feels bluer) Let me know what you think ! -

I don't (just have MI2 one if needed) but I have recently bought "Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe" in a very good condition for PC if you want to add to your poster collection (I didn't see it). I can scan it in 600 DPI if needed -
LucasArts Posters: The Revenge

Well I think AI tools are a real good help at some point where you can't find the orignal artworks or when it's low quality. I have used Topaz lab for a while just to upscale images and it's pretty impressive. Good work btw ! -

I have made a new vector version of it in PDF if you want ! Enjoy ! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ALusH2S2OGmNfBvzwv7iigVMqxQkSfst/view?usp=sharing -
Hi laserschwert, I'm not offering anything at the moment and won't. I was just polling the community before going to this last step but regarding the reactions, I just edited my article and remove the form. Case closed. I thought it was a good idea to make those boxes with crazy prices affordable for everyone (with all content) sold as REPRO but I guess I was wrong. I will keep recreating it for myself !

Thanks for the feedbacks ! Corrected ! Will have some serious sessions about corrections before going live @ThunderPeel2001 Well it feel the same and even more solid really ! It comes from a company in Spain. I had a second one from them and it looks even way better than the first one. They admitted there was a printing problem with the first one, send me another one free and it looks incredible and really strong ! But as said, you have to order 100 (but the prices are really correct !) I didn't find any online service where you can buy those big boxes as trong as this one (2mm thick). Pack.ly only propose 0.5mm.... And I didn't hear it was enough quality for big boxes. I'm finishing another one Just checked the back and the DOS version is 'environment' without S...I agree it feels weird The Amiga and Atari versions have other texts as you mentioned ! (Didn't even see this since I'm working on DOS version)

Hello @Laserschwert, of course I won't unless I have approval for it If I wanted to do it without approval, I wouldn't have shared the project with all of you in this forum ! My first goal was to do it for myself so it is. I just want to see what will be the result from the spanish printing company and the average cost of a print. I will surely try pack.ly to have a comparison. And for the files (to answer @ThunderPeel2001), I'm thinking about creating a Git repo or something like that with all files (manuals, PDF, etc) for the different boxes I will recreate so everyone will have access to. I already done it for the MI1 manual. Stay tuned, results in 2 weeks ! (box printing is launched)

LucasArts Posters: The Revenge

Hi Laserschwert, I have notice some little differences in width between the new framed/clean versions and the others with text It seams the framed and marble one looses some width. If you see what I mean -
Hi all, Quick update, I had few hours to work on within the last weeks on back part of the box. I'm pretty happy of what I have done regarding my skills. Again, everything except the paper background is made using vectors in Illustrator. Spent a lot of time to try to find the right fonts in this part.... really time consuming even with platform like Whatfontis, etc If someone has an idea of what are the real fonts I'm missing, I will really appreciate !!! To fix: 1°/ Find the right fonts for the back part. Some I'm pretty sure of the names but some I couldn't find the right one Title "National Inquisitor" => Engravers Old English (100% sure) Sub-title "March 29" & price (12$50) => Minion Variable Concept - Italic - (feel the same but it's not I think) Title "Worldwide..." => Enge Etienne (100% sure) Title "Could they be space cowboys" => Aver (feel the same but it's not I think) sub-title "Brain-Boggling...." => Acumin Variable Concept (feel the same but it's not I think) Sub-titles "A typical day...", "another comedy...", "Porky..." => CandidaEF RegulardCond (pretty sure at 99%) Body text => Classic Times new roman (sure at 60%) 2°/ Put the right in-game images for the 3 black boxes. I was thinking putting some existing screenshots of the FM-Towns version which looks better but it won't match the subtitles then ! If not I will have to play and make screenshots Any feedbacks are welcome !
