    Anybody else going to watch it live? I plan to watch live although I'm a little worried of anything being spoilt in the new trailer.

     

    Man i hope its a September release...

     

     

    Heres my wild theory...

     

    The game will release on the 22nd September BUT the demo will release on Talk Like a Pirate Day!

And then, after he brakes out, we get a big time jump and the new story begins.

    Wally mentioned he had been in therapy for 'years' after the events of mi2 which means this part of the game has to take place after Curse and maybe Escape and Tales. 

     

    Wally mentions getting over blowing up. I'm surprised they didn't add nearly drowning or being told he's a failure as a pirate in Curse or some reference to Curse. All the references seemed more focused on mi2.

     

    I get the impression they will avoid making references to non Gilbert games but obviously dodge contradicting them.

     

    But then again Morgan is in the scrapbook and Murray is in the game.

    So my willpower to not watch the new Monkey Island Monday lasted... about 10 minutes 😅

     

    I really wanted to not see the clock tower street until i play it as its honestly one of my most special nostalgic places from my video game childhood.

     

    I just couldn't resist though so here are my thoughts:

     

    - the clock tower street looks fantastic, beautifully captured

    - love the music but its weird having it... i always liked the quietness of Melee Island. I feel like it would be more effective just having some nights sounds.

    - so nice to see Wally again. Maybe im wrong but i feel like most returning characters will be on Melee Island.

    Maybe one of the future mondays will reveal a location off the map and prove me wrong. Fingers crossed.

    I just want to go in as blind as possible but struggling to fight the urge to watch these reveals. If i had a release date it be easier to hold out.

    I just think where we've only seen locations from the lookout to the governers mansion (which can all be explored without going to the map) that its likely we won't explore those areas that are from the map.

     

    Maybe i'm wrong but i really doubt we can fully explore Melee Island.

    I do agree i'm just worried that they've spoilt all the locations on Melee Island.  I'd like them to leave some locations for us to explore.

     

    If Melee Island is just the locations from the lookout to the governers Mansion then we've pretty much seen everything.

     

    We've already seen:

    The lookout

    Outside Scumm bar

    Inside Scumm bar

    The key shop

    The fish shop

    map shop

    The clock tower street

    Voodo lady's shop

    Jail

    Inside the governer's mansion
