  1. Your link isn't working, but good luck with it. In all honesty, I think the new movies will spawn a new SWBF game. There is still hope!
  2. I skimmed through your videos and actually watched 2 of them in their entirety. They're pretty amusing. It felt more like watching a friend play than a walkthrough, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I like it.
  3. Thats the feeling I have. Theres no way to know for sure of course. Its safe to say Drew Karpyshyn wasn't thinking "I'm writing this story as a way to market a new video game" as he wrote it, but I'm sure that's why it was ordered.... Personally, I don't understand why they didn't just finish the trilogy and THEN make an MMO to continue the story/make oodles of money. I have a feeling TOR isn't the last we've seen of the franchise though.
  4. I'm interested to see what this project is, especially since they started doing everything in-house.
  5. Just out of curiosity, how do you know there is a second project? That would be great news. You'd think the folks at Lucasarts are the only people in the community who don't know of the demand for SWBF3...
  6. I hate to sound lazy when it comes to playing video games, but I'm pretty sure I'm just going to watch it on YouTube.
  7. I think you hit the nail on the head. Looking to make a buck on KOTOR again as well as create interest for their struggling MMO. I don't see KOTOR 3 ever happening. They finished the story arc with TOR and the Revan tie-in novel. That is one thing I wouldn't mind being retconned.. Edit: Speaking of TOR, Bioware just started doing free character transfers between specific servers in order to populate them. For the record, SWG didn't do this until 2009, six years in. Didn't want to double post, but this definitely shows the game is struggling...
  8. As far as the Xbox version is concerned, I'm pretty sure the only place you can get the helmeted version of the armor is on Rakata.
  9. With the announcement of 1313, its hard to see TFU3 being made anytime soon. While I'm not the biggest fan of the TFU games, I would like to see the story brought to a conclusion. My only major complaints about TFU are the length and minor control issues. They really aren't bad games.... I just hope they don't completely scrap it like they did the KOTOR series. The story has taken a turn which could set up an interesting conclusion. TFU has spawned some pretty likable characters and I would like to see what they end up doing with them.
  10. I'm cautiously optimistic. The game looks like it would be entertaining, but it looks like TFU sans Force Powers. The combat looks decent, but I have a feeling that the player won't have as much control over the character as we want. Sure, all of that is "in-game" footage, but one clip was a cutscene. Another, where it shows the ship going down, you have to wonder how much control you really have over your character. The QTEs might be gone, but that doesn't necessarily mean they freed up the gameplay. I'm hoping that I'm wrong about this! Granted, it is early footage. I'm sure down the road we will (hopefully) see more actual gameplay. Regardless, I'm sure it will be an interesting game to play upon it's release.
  11. Lol talk about reviving a thread.. its a good topic though. Anyhow, my favorite memory about SWBF would be all the times my best friends and I would play split screen, and occasionally system link, all night. We loved when they allowed 4 players to play split screen in SWBF2. It's hard to believe the last one came out in 2005. It definitely makes me feel old...
  12. I would say Obi-Wan is decent at best. I imagine you could snag it for a few bucks on eBay. The concept of using one of the joysticks to swing the lightsaber was kind of interesting, but it also brought limitations to the game. The single player campaign was a retelling of EP1. I loved the EP1 game made for the PS1, so i was eager to try it. It played pretty well, but there were some moments in the game where your player felt limited. Even on the easiest setting, there were parts where they basically set you up to fail. It could get quite frustrating. As for the multiplayer component, it was pretty bad. It all depended on who got the first force push in... If you can get it for a few bucks, I'd recommend trying it.
  13. He was right! This game has "TFU without Force Powers" written all over it...
  14. A game called XCOM. It's a little bit before my time so cant way I'm too pumped about it. I was in elementary school when it was popular lol
  15. Seems you were right, false alarm lol.. I still believe that we will finally hear an announcement for a new Star Wars Battlefront this year.
  16. As Q mentioned, Amazon is a good place to buy it on the internet. If you can't buy it online due to not having the means (such as a credit card), stores such as Walmart and Best Buy carry a Star Wars: Best of PC collection which has KOTOR in it.
  17. http://www.theforce.net/latestnews/story/Star_Wars_Battlefront_3_Rumors_Return_142765.asp There have been a number of websites speculating that January 5 will be the official announcement for Battlefront 3, with Spark Unlimited as the developer. If anyone has been following their Twitter feed, you know they've been deflecting BF3 questions for months now. Hopefully, this is finally for real!
  18. I believe that this may solve your problem. http://forums.filefront.com/sw-jk-problems-errors-help/168743-jk2mp-exe-multiplayer-error.html
  19. I'm pretty excited about this. It will be interesting to see how this pans out on consoles, considering it looks like they're going with a completely digital release. I know I'm in!
  20. Well, you can play through the game as many times as you like. I'd finish the game just to see the bigger picture so to speak. Then, on your next play through, you'll probably catch a ton of things you didn't even see the first time.
  21. I want to say there were 3 patches, but there may have been more. Anyhow, the answer to your question is yes. They helped with a lot of the issues the PC version of KOTOR had. You can run the Update tool from the Autorun menu.
  22. I never had the opportunity to play the two Racer games they released for the PS2/3, but the original Racer was a phenomenal game. I would welcome a true remake rather than the Kinect mini game they are fronting. I really enjoyed Star Wars Galaxies. At the time, it had some of the best graphics of any MMO out there and the community was actually a lot of fun. The quests and side-quests were also entertaining. A lot of folks also enjoyed the sandbox qualities to the game. While I don't plan on buying TOR at launch, it looks to be making Lucasarts and EA a lot of money. I guess we'll see!
  23. Try to update the drivers on your graphic card. You can find them on AMD's page. http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx
  24. I've never really understood why people are so adamant to declare a console "better" than another. I believe that each one has certain advantages. Personally, I own an Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and a Mac, just to clarify lol. I chose to get an Xbox 360 because of the game collection it boasted. There is no denying that Xbox 360 has an impressive array of choices. At the time, Mass Effect was the big draw to me after seeing a friend play it. (PS3 owners now get to enjoy ME2 and 3 of course!) Also, a lot of my friends had Xbox Live, which made it an even better choice for me. Anyhow, while that is awesome, I would LOVE to have a Blu-Ray player and free online play (no ID theft jokes please!) like PS3 owners do. There is no denying how sweet that is. Also, PS3 has it's own exclusive titles like Uncharted and Killzone. Again, things I would love to enjoy. Basically, there isn't a "better" system. Some people could say Wii is the best because of the exclusive titles and motion controls. They aren't wrong either. It's all a matter of opinion.
  25. Has anyone considered that maybe the Unreal engine would be used for a new Jedi Knight game? The folks at Lucasarts have been quoted in the past saying they would like to bring back Kyle...
