batninja Posted September 24, 2003 Share Posted September 24, 2003 I just downloaded a player model from jkii.net. I can see and choose it in the 'police lineup' during initial setup, but when I join a server for ANY game (ctf, ffa, duel) it reverts back to a default, and my new model isn't available. What am I doing wrong? Where do I install the pk3 file? Do I do something special in the console, in the game? I'm sure there's a thread for this somewhere, but the Search feature 'has been disabled by an administrator'. Thanks! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Neverhoodian Posted September 25, 2003 Share Posted September 25, 2003 Most JO servers only support the base character models that come with the game. However, there are servers (particularly mod servers) that allow your character to be visible. Sometimes all you have to do is press tab to update models. Anyway, hope that helps. Actually, I'm kinda glad I don't have to sit for hours waiting for skins/model/wav files to download from the server before I can play, like Counter-Strike, Quake II, etc...
