Luke1294
*Tear* Yeah, so, this isnt cool. I go to load up JA SP, and everything works fine and dandy. it shows the movie with the ship flying, and then it pauses. And pauses. And pauses. Finally, the breifing loads, then the first mission. The music basically repeats again and again and again, same part, like a cd is skipping or something. The picture doesnt move for 30 seconds then goes down a frame. 2.2 P4 512 ram 120 hd g4MMX (eh...im poor) Homeworld 2 does the SAME FRIGGIN THING
leXX
Have you updated all your drivers? Download the latest ones for your graphics and sound card. It's a good place to start.

aaronheath
My new system is doing the exact same thing. The opening cutscene is unwatchable due to skipping audio and low frame rate. The first mission loads, and it's more of the same: stuttering audio and ridiculously low frame rates....maybe 1 or 2 fps? system specs: ASUS A7V8X-X mobo AMD Athlon XP 2500+ cpu 512 MB RAM older RADEON 64MB VIVO vid card all drivers are up to date and installed correctly... This is frustrating, as I'm finally able to get the JA sp game to run, but I STILL can't play it! Arrggh! Any suggestions?
KevinCoyle
Only thing I can think of to try is to install the latest version of direct x and try turning all graphic enhancements down. even if your computer should be able to hand better graphics try it anyway, several people are having performance problems on top notch systems. if it runs better with everything turned down try turning things back up slowly till it runs crappy again, it might help you find the problem if it's graphic related. Luke1294
Actually, using the new drivers was what was wrong. I read someone on here said to put the 30.88 or something like that on. Sure enough, works like a charm Strangenss
aaronheath
Kevin's suggestion is good. I ended up doing exactly that. I turned down all of the graphic settings, and then slowly increased them until the jitters started again. Looks great and runs like a charm now. It still sticks and crashes on occasion, though. Don't know what else to try....
