vandands Posted October 4, 2003 Share Posted October 4, 2003 hey i have windows XP and i installed Monkey Island 3, so when i want to play it, the installation of DirectX pops up. i already have directX installed, in fact, i have the latests directx and i can't play it! help! Joshi Posted October 4, 2003 Share Posted October 4, 2003 Install DirectX when prompted. all that will happen is that it will recognise that you already have a later version and not install, but at least then the game will know and allow you to play. I went to the directorie where M3 is intalled, and clicked on COMI.exe, but it says to me that is unable to load FONT0.NUT (???). So i don't know what to do. AdisAbeba Posted October 5, 2003 Share Posted October 5, 2003 i had the same problem! you can play it if you rightclick on the mi3.exe click on "options" (or sth like that) and then on "compatibility", "open program in compatibility mode for:" win 95 or 98... hope u understand it... I run the autorun and then click install monkey island it all installs fine i dont tick the install direct x box and then i run the game... it worked fine for me, so i dont see why it wouldnt for everyone else... weird...
