saberhagen
8 in theory, but it usually lags really bad, so in practise 6 is a more sensible upper limit...
lukeiamyourdad
Agrees with above. Not everyone has a comp that can handle 8 players online let alone in single player. And people with better comps don't bother playing SWGB1 anymore(not that it's bad but you know). I say 4 to 6 as a more realistic number. 8 is basically impossible. Try to find 7 other persons who wants to play RM on the zone at the same time as you.
Sithmaster_821
Is this in a single game? If so, then its eight, if not, then its the max number of rooms in each section of the zone minus the huge amount of inexplicably locked rooms and scenerio games times 8 times the number of sections that are in use. swphreak
After much calculation in Trigonometry, Algebra, and Physics, I have determined the maximum allowed players is 8. Further analysis shows that the best results are with 4 to 6 players.

And who are all of a similar enough skill level to make it a decent game, rather than the inter++ on the other wing knocking out your rook ally in 15 minutes. Or allies who just sit back and boom, but not quite as well as their opponents who then kill everyone cos I exhausted myself trying to rush one player who was supported by both his allies...
