People are probably gonna keep asking so it might not be a bad idea to add a stuck thread about dismemberment (SP and MP)

i know there are already too many stuck threads but its probably better than having it asked every few days

There are just way too many stuck threads. I know it helps everything move along... I think people would be just fine finding it in the customization thread.

Yes it does. It's on page 1 and page 2, but nobody reads those, so they don't know.

 

I'll just have to continue to point them to the sticky and inform them to read the first two pages (actually only two posts need to be read, one is 2/3rds of the way down the first page, the other is at the top of page 2).

I gotta say that the "Not Enough Customization for Full Version?" thread is just wAy too long. It took me like an hour and a half last night to read through the whole thing and compile a list of hidden MP skins; but it's the only thread with any real information on that topic. There's soooo many off-topic posts and needless exposition in there, it really makes it difficult to find what you're searching for.

 

What I'd propose is having a similar type thread that only allows moderator posting with tips/hints/codes; or an open public thread that simply doesn't allow conversation - tips only. The official Wizardy 8 forum had a thread like that, where they deleted any post that wasn't a tip and kept the surrounding explanations to a minimum, plus only one tip was allowed per post for clarified reading and to prevent confusion - if a tip was repeated more than once,the doubled version was deleted as well.

 

Soemthing like that would make it a lot easier for all the new people coming to the forums for the first time, and for those simply needing to refresh themselves on something they remember coming across once. A thread with 375 posts is just way too big, especially when it's only a month old. My two cents... excellent job in general on the forums here Kurgan, btw.
