For those who haven't been hanging out in the Dark Forces forum, I thought I'd take the time to re-post my latest updates here. There are still a few missing textures in spots, but I'm getting close to having those worked out. I've also included a poll for anyone interested in deciding how the team skins will look.

As I stated before, the poll is to see which type of team skin should be included with the model. The first is like the original JO Stormtrooper skin, while the second has a coloration similar to that of an EpII Clone Trooper. I've also included the third option for those who may have any other ideas on what it should look like. If you would like to share your suggestions, feel free to do so.

1. About those normal troopers... they look good but I don't

see any noticeable difference to original stormies...

If I read it right, the 'all-red' is the original.

 

I'd most certainly be interested in the storm trooper with Tatooine gear, but on the improved 'stock' trooper, I'd like to see a surfable line of MP40 ammo pouches on his other shoulder (opposide the 'shoulder pad', examples can be found in Ep 4)

 

EDIT: I see that the sand trooper is outfitted with the MP40 pouches. It'll be good, barring weighting issues.

Are the Icons any different than the ones that came with JO, or are they basically the same?

Awesome. The only suggestion I would have is to make one weighted with the JA skeleton, so that it can be used to unilaterally replace the JA stormies (JO models don't work in SP apparently ...)

 

I like the changes, they seem a lot more like the original trilogy.

Really? If that is the way it works, then I'll probably have to. I hadn't heard anything like that,... but then again, I haven't been paying much attention.

Jedi Outcast models doesn't work in Jedi Academy ??

 

Hmm... For me they seems to work fine in both SP

and MP...

I say jedi outcast style, I just really like those red and blue stormtroopers, wouldn't want to lose them! (considering im replacing the old stormie with this new one once hap releases it )

interesting. i replaced kyle with the dark forces kyle and it works fine... as do the other npcs (using jo models) i've created.

 

i like your design, hap. either would be fine with me, really... as long as i have the stock stormtrooper i'll be happy.
