Ado's Amazing Artwork Question...

I'm really.. really astounded by some of the fanart over on Scummbar. I was just wondering something that maybe you guys can shed some light on for me--I've never played past Monkey Island 2, being a pretty tunnel-brained fan of the original Lucas graphic adventure games, and was curious as to whether or not the 'Dead Bride' character depicted on his picture page was from the latter two games?

 

It's a pretty awesome visual in either case. Any information would be appreciated.

You really should play CMI. It's extremely good, and it still sticks to the roots of good old point and click - the only turn-off for most people is the cartoony graphics. But then, you love or hate them. EMI is where it really went downhill.

 

Anyways.. I'm pretty sure that piece of art is from CMI. A dead bride does indeed feature as a ghost in the game, so I can't really see where else it would have come from.

Awesome. Thanks very much for the heads-up, Thrik.. there's a lot of varying consensus regarding where the MI series went after LeChuck's Revenge, so I've been somewhat hesitant to try the next couple of games. But methinks I may need to shake off the cobwebs after that endorsement.

yeah that bride is definatly in CMI her name is minestroney Goodsoup and the reason shes ther is because shes waiting for her husband to be Charles de Goulash who when they were alive never appeard for the wedding.

Thanks, LeChuck! One of the reasons I was curious about it was that my girlfriend and I have been hashing over wedding costumes for our ceremony next Halloween--and doing some sort of ghost pirate motif' would be beyond sweet.

I know I may be splitting hairs here, but it was LeChuck who stood up Minnie, not Charles DeGoulash. Charles was Minnie's second choice whom she did not choose because she was attracted to LeChuck's piratey nature.
