Films to games vs. Games to films

Harry Potter, The Matrix and LOTR have very cool video games that are co-branded with the release of the films. Obviously Star Wars has inspired a rash of great SW games on various platforms. What about films that are a genesis of games. I can think of Tomb Raider and Mortal Kombat, but not too many others. Any cool ideas? What about games that you think would make really cool fictional movies? These are some of my votes:

1. Rachet & Clank (http://www.ratchetandclankgadgets.com/#)

2. Splinter Cell (http://www.splintercell.com/us/)

3. For the unreleased but highly anticipated" vote, I submit I-Ninja (http://www.ininjagame.com/) I could see Pixar taking this game for a real ride!

The Legend of Zelda = A perfect game to make into a movie if Nintendo will let them make it deeper than something just for kids.

Metroid = Don't even think about making this into a movie cause Samus all by herself in a movie just isn't interesting at all, and introducing anyone new will destroy the very nature of it being 'Metroid.' You all know that fact as well as I do.

Perfect Dark = Bah!!

Oh and Harry Potter, LOTR and The Matrix had crap games made from them.

So all in all, Zelda is the way to go if you want an epic, if they'll let it be that way instead of some small kiddy-like adventure.
