Cereal, TV shows, and squashed tomatoes

Once, when I was very small, my family took a trip to England to visit my mother's friend from high school who lives in Seven Oaks. Being very small and stupid, I remember very odd things about this trip. I remeber more stuff than I will say in this thread (castles, museums other places of importance, being hit by a 200 foot drive by a golfer, etc)

First, are Cocoa Krispies still on the market there? they don't sell them here any more, and I remember eating them several times for breakfast and buying some in a grocery store.

Second, some TV shows. Number one, do they still air "The Big Breakfast"? And what exactly is the point of it anyway?

Number two. I don't have any idea what this show was called, but it was about some gril who wnet through these funky tunnels with all these ladders and ended up in the future. She tried to wash her clothes but put them in the microvae by accident and they burned, and she was staying with some people who owned a grocery store and the little brothr was openiong the cereal boxes and taking out the toys. Does anyone know what it was called?

Third. When we were there, there were large plasitic squashed tomatoes on buildings, cars, and other public places. What was that all about?

Are you sure you went to England, and not some planet in outer space? That stuff sounds really...strange.

Hey, did you see the lighthouse in front of that hotel? THere were a WHOLE BUNCH like that all over Portland in September. I wondered a little about that.

But memories of childhood can sound so weird when you say them out loud. Like when I was four, my family and I went to a really nice camp on a lake, and I can't seem to remember anything. Except that while I was TV at one point, I was lying on the white carpet alternately eating mini marshmallows and tossing them high in the air.

I lost one of them.

One - whole - mini marshmallow.

I don't know if they still sell Cocoa Krispies, because I don't eat cereal.

The Big Breakfast stopped about 2 years ago. It was a morning TV show and in its prime it was fantastic. Johnny Vaughan used to have me in tears of laughter first thing in the morning.

Tomatoes were probably for Red Nose Day - a national fundraising event which is heavily advertised every year. You buy Red Noses (they were probably the tomato ones that year) and the money from them is given to charity, people also do zany things like wax the hair on their head and give the money raised by it to charity.

I know the answer to every single one of your questions, apart from the ladder girl think, honestly can't think of that one.

And yes, coco pops, did change their name to choco crispies a while ago, but then they did a tv poll to see which people liked better and then they changed it back. And the big breakfast was axed because it basically degraded in value as good morning television. it has now been replaced by RI:SE which isn't as good, but will do for now.
