Question about game ending.....(huge spoiler)?

okay, to anyone who has beaten the game and knows of Bastila's faltering of faith, does anyone know if this can be avoided with any of your direct communication with her throughout the game? i.e. if you were flirty with her to the point where you brought about obvious emotional reactions, could this have caused her fall? and if so, if you had not been flirty, and merely friendly but formal do you avoid this event at all by bringing less emotion to the situation(since we all know emotion leads to the dark side)?

I doubt it. Malaks influence is really what made her fall.

No, but supposedly how far you push things as you go through the game impacts the dialogue choices and effects at the end.

 

Since my natural character and personality put me in the 'pillar of light' category, I was polite and respectful, with some good-natured flirting when it seemed reasonable, and got the 'love' option only at the end. Apparently if you push it earlier, you can declare love before she is lost and get a 'still love' option at the end.

very good to know, thanks for the replies. yeah i got the pillar of light behind me just recently. i went through neutral the first time and so what i said didn't really bother me unless i knew it would lead to the dark side. so i was just wondering how any initiated relatiopnships effected such seemingly scripted events.
