Is anyone encountering loading bugs in the PC version?

Okay, I am getting really frustrated with KOTOR right now. I'm currently playing the PC version of the game on an alienware laptop using an ATI Mobilitiy Radeon 9000 video card.

 

For the last two worlds that I've played (Dantooine and Tattooine), the game has had considerable problems in loading new maps. Everytime I try to go into another area, the thing freezes up on me and I am forced to reboot my computer. I then quick load right back to the location just before the edge of the map, and then the game manages to load a new map for some reason. However, if I then try to move to yet another map, the thing freezes again and I have to reboot.... again. And keep in mind that this happens EVERY time I play the game. The environments themselves are smooth and stable but when it comes to traversing to another area, the game goes all buggy on me.

 

This has become increasingly frustrating given that I've had to reboot my computer like 50 or more times now.

 

I suspect it may have to do with the uniqueness of my computer (Alienware laptop with mobile graphics card), but I'm not sure.

 

Has anyone else had issues with loading the maps? Any big bug problems?

 

I can't wait for a patch, that's for sure.

I'm on a Dell Inspiron 5150 (laptop, 3.06GHz P4, nVidia GF-FX5200) and I had no problems at all (just finished today).

 

... do you have any other problems with other games?

Nevermind... I just updated my video card drivers (which was very hard to do, mind you), and everything's wonderful in the world... hooray... .sorry for distracting some of y'all.
