Kurgan Posted December 8, 2003 Share Posted December 8, 2003 There are a TON of racing mods for JA already available from pcgamemods.com. Unfortunately, 99.9% of them were created before the SDK, so they are pretty basic. Ie: a circular "track" with respawning swoop bikes. Most of the maps I've tried were pretty hap hazard... full of bugs like low FPS areas, Swoops that are too close together (meaning if one blows up, they all blow up, over and over again...) etc. Now that the code is out, hopefully people will put a little more effort into polishing these mods before they release them. They could actually be a lot of fun if done right... counting lap scoring, "starting boxes" (to prevent all Swoops from blowing up at the same time), modified swoops that are better suited to racing through canyons, better maps, etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Kurgan Posted December 9, 2003 Share Posted December 9, 2003 None of the ones I've tried are actual mods. Yes, they're pretty much just custom FFA maps with respawning vehicles (usually swoops).
