First, the drive is supposed to be sixty gigs(and is read that it should by PcMark), however it's only 10 gigs in reality. My other drive, 80 gigs, is at relative close proximity to what it should be. Secondly, OS loadups and shut downs are taking MUCH longer to do. I've defragged my hardrive, spy-checked, and virus checked the whole two drivers, yet it found nothing. Thirdly, loadups on certain games(Kotor is especially one) will fail out sometimes, and then I get the second sympton for shutdown. So do you guys think the hard drive is failing? It's old for a while, and the tag is nothing more than an ID number, with no company identification. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It could be failing if it's been doing some strange crap like that for a while. I'd have it checked by a computer specialist in your local area first, though.
