FernanJM
Hi guys, Just a question, if any of you can give me a hint. Do you know of any strategy to defeat Darth Malak in the final battle?? (without using cheats, of course) It was so hard to beat Darth Bandon (in easy mode), that I'm afraid that "The Sith Master" will kick my a... Bandon was even immune to my Jedi Powers. Does anybody have any clue/strategy/suggestion? Has any of you gone through this final battle already? Thank you, in advance! Great forum, by the way. I haven't been hooked by a game as I am by KOTOR in a long time... and it is the first RP game that I've ever played...
Clemme w/Stick
I got one. I've beaten the game twice now, and used the same strategy on Malak both times. Once you get into his chamber, beat him until he breaks off the fight to tell you about the Jedi hanging in there. He will then drain the life out of one of them, and after that you can actually use saberthrow to kill those jedi entirely and let them become one with the force. Anyhow, once you've killed those jedi, Malak cant drain the life out of them, and you will be able to fight him to the end. If you have problems with him just set it to easy . -Clemme

n.kT3M4
Its even easier than that ive beaten the game four times now frist time I was evil second I was good which kinda sucks at the beging beacuse you are runing aroun to get credits and its pretty hard to do that if you are good the forth I beat it I was a darksider then the last good again and I have a strategy for each side now for good you wont to hit him with a couple of furrys with at least one light saber in your hand that has the solari crystal in it and some critical strikes to hopefully you have them both at their their third levels healing yoursevle to along the way then you sould be good make sure thought that you have a double bladed lightsaber to do more harm when you use your furry attack or a two regular lightsabers and then for the darkside you definatly need to have death field or I dont know how you even got to malak and mainly what you do is pull some talaban tatics on him runing from him and useing your death field and then some times there comes a stoping point where a glicth just stalls him for a second use this as a advantage by runing up to him and hit him with a punch of good furrys then start the process all over again it helps if you got those gaunlets from the tomb at korrbin you know the marco ones for more info on talaban tatics please come play me on Command and Conger Generals online or you can see some even nastier talaban tatics if you get on the Zero Hour my screen name will be tar and dont forget your chemical suits I just might be playing arround with biologcial weapons if you know what I mean see you there o ya and AAAAALLLLLLLEEEEEVVVVVAAAAAA:sprobe: :fire3: differnt talaban you might see. HertogJan
Yeah it's definately in my top-10 of longest sentences I've ever read And I defeated Malak by using his evil plan against him: I drained those Jedi You get full health again when you do that. And beside that, I flurried and power attacked him to death

Toa Tahu
Actually, personally,I find Darth Malak quite easy to fight,it's only the part when he goes to the Jedi and sadistically drain them that I find irritating that I have to trash him 7 times over. Anyway,my tactic was to alternate between a Force Power or stim-pack and Master Critical Strike(MCS) every individual round of combat.I always start with Force Immunity(FI) every time I start a new round of combat. For instance,I use FI,then MCS,then maybe Master Speed and MCS then Master Valor,MCS,Hyper Battle Stimulant(or anything else at the '6' hotkey). Soon enough, you'll find that you'll sufficiently lowered his life.Do this 7 times, and you'll win him eventually(or until you bring his life to 0 in any round)
SithTrooper
NOTE: Malak Is Incredibly hard if your a scoundral!!! END NOTE You should use a strong force power to destry the captive jedi, and force Malak ito some mines. But do what you want.
HertogJan
Oh yeah, I forgot. Since I never really used any stimulants or stuff like that, I decided to use all of 'em while fighting Malak It wasn't that hard for me, being a bad-ass Jedi Guardian/Soldier Just remember that you have to destroy/drain those dead Jedi. The rest is up to your preferences!

Whoops!Sorry!I was a Jedi Guardian, that's why I found it really easy to beat him...(don't take it personally)I just don't like scoundrels...I'd rather go for a Soldier/Consular if I want to have a part in *skill*. lukeiamyourdad
Errr...I was a scoundrel/consular and still kicked Malak's ass pretty easily...it all depends on how you train your character...
-NGE-
malak is so much easier if you max out the basic melee feats (lightsaber use, dueling, melee focus but also things that enhance your attack rolls, such as improved conditioning, dual wield, or critical strike) plus, put an solari and opila crystal in your mantle saber and an opila and another damage enhancing crystal in your heart saber (if you have the mantle and the heart crystals that is) and you will whoop his ass badly. That, plus lots of life support packs if you have managed to put lots of points in your treat injury skill throughout the game your life support packs will easily heal over 100 HP... eidospsogos
melee focus feats do nothing to enhance lightsaber combat. but do work on your lightsaber feats. (and if you meant things like critical strike and flurry, my apologies you are absolutely correct. but the melee weapons feat category really does nothing to help you.) n.kT3M4
If you are juging on what class wold be the best aganst malak it would definatly be soldier:sprobe:these are the ways you can beat the snap out of him 1way:launcher: getting a big old bad gun and shoot at him while keeping away from him 2way:punch1by knocking the stuffing out of him way3 :blaze6:by using some good very good explosives such as mines and grenades or if your to retarded to understand those I guess you can do way3:jab:by pokeing him to death lol. eidospsogos
yep. i figured this out only after my second time through. pissed me off too. though melee weapoms were what i was using until i became a jedi, it still kind of bothered me. something about a lightsaber being a weapon of elegance. it is even modified differently than melee weapons, as increasing your dexterity increases your attack bonus on lightsabers (your chances of hitting) instead of strength. -NGE-
hmm that might explain why i owned malak so hard... i had a dex modifier of +5 at the end of the game
Astrotoy7
I got Malak on about the 5th try. It was just a case of working out what worked best.... In my case it was force storm with master power attack, with alot of running around and healing. Make sure you saber throw to 'release' the jedi, once I force cooked them all and malak just stood still and didnt respond after that(game bug!!??)..... using force storm of course I needed to hop out of my swanky armour and into some robes, but I think you can upgrade some of the armour to be able to use those type of force powers with them..... in addition i used dual sabers both equipped with those weird crystals you get from yavin "mantle of the force" and the other one..... Im gonna have a little break and do some console gaming before I give the dark path a try.....I cant wait to trash talk everyone !!
