JediMeister Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 yeah, what he said. i don't remember exactly how many times i went back, but the trandoshans were there only twice, since they were all dead after the second time. the first time i managed to sneak my way out of a fight by persuading them to leave.

You should be able to buy them from him after this encounter... Too bad the blade colours suck...

Well that is my understanding: - First time you meeet him. - Next time you chase away the thugs. - Third time you get the cool battle with them. - Then you get access to everything. Mike
eidospsogos Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 yes. that is correct. there is no way to fight them the second time. whatever option you choose, they will leave. but after the fight with them, you will have access to these crystals.
Quillan Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 You have to have been there both 3 separate times, and have all the star maps, for the battle encounter to happen. I played around with it my last time through the game, and the fight didn't happen until something like my 7th visit to Yavin, which was the first visit after finding the last star map. So, if you aren't there yet, you may have to fly off and come back a time or two before you can buy them. Just as a side note, I found that his inventory reset between the second and third stages. I bought a Baragwin Assault Blade after the encounter where you chase the trandoshans off, and there was another there after the battle. That is a seriously bad-a$$ melee weapon when upgraded, too. If I remember correctly, it worked out to 2-12 damage, +2-12 sonic damage, +2-12 energy damage, crit range 17-20, +5 to hit. I had two of them.

I love the blade colors The blue one (mantle) reminds me of the saber from ANH and the red/yellow one (heart) just looks really evil
