well maybe a few nukes from the sovets and a few weather control storms from the allies will send the imps and rebels running.

who knows. explosions can destroy shields (possably) to a point where the ship heats up and melts. Lightning can only affect ground units or ships within the atmostphere. Lightning can cause an electrical surge in the ship. frying the ships onboard computer and sending it into the ground.

Are you being serious? Star Wars has weapons in the gigatonnage range, and shields in the terraton range, while current day tech can produce nothing more then a puny 20 megaton explosive, where as even a fighter class laser cannon produces at least 1 megaton, and that's the weakest weapon they have (excluding personel mounted weapons of course) I don't feel like writing down all my sources right now, so just visit this site http://www.angelfire.com/scifi/ImperialNavyYard/Yard.htm

First of all any SW capital ship could perform an orbital bombardment, and destroy the planet's surface. But let's say were talking just about ground forces(which I assume you are)

Storm trooper armour is highly resistant to projectile weapons (Check the essential guide to weapons and Technology), so unless red alert arms all their troops with sub machine guns (which would be quite costly), they're going to have to use a grenade to kill a storm trooper, and if you're to close to the storm trooper, you'll get killed in your own blast.

ok, so you meant RA2 explosions.

I once dropped an atom-bomb on my opponents base that set off a chain reaction of explosions with oil barrels & stuff.

biggest mess i ever saw.

won instantly too..

:p

I'd say that was an explosion in the low kiloton range, maybe mid-kiloton, depends how big the base was, and how armoured the buildings, and vehicles.

Just in case you're not aware of what all these ton things I'm talking about here's a chart

1 ton= 1 ton

1 kiloton= 1000 tons

1 megaton= 1000 kilotons

1 gigaton= 1000 megatons

1 terraton = 1000 gigatons

1 petaton = 1000 terratons

These tons are measuring a blast caused by something of the amount of TNT it would take to cause the same blast.

An example is the A-bomb dropped on Hiroshima during ww II was 15 kilotons. (Just added that to measure how powerful other blasts are.)

Hmm Tanya vs. AT-AT a few rounds bounce of the AT-AT before it's cannons make Tanya into a crater. Yuri vs. Jedi Yuri tries to take over the Jedi's mind the jedi turns uses lightsabre to shrink yuri to half his size. Telsa Troopers vs. Stormtrooper well the stormtroopers get fried but it doesn't matter the AT-AT's are coming up behind them and the electricitey doesn't penetrate the outer armor.

Actually, GI's in RA2 have 50 cals when they deploy, that would do the trick, no?

Plus, Tanya would just set some explosives on the AT-ATs and they would explode into tiny pieces.
