Download Bastila reskin - new hair and underwear

DesertCombat!!

Recommended Posts

Here my little reskin for you

nothing special, but maybe some nice addition for bastila fans

thx to all editing guys who figured out the tpc2tga conversion !

The zip contains 2 ".tga" files that must be extracted in your "SWKotOR/Override" folder

Then restart the game

The first file will make a green-eyed blonde out of Bastila. I think it fits more to her charackter.

bastila1.jpg

The second file gives Bastila some new designer underwear from an exclusive shop in Taris City!

To make it appear, give bastila no clothes in the equipment panel.

Have Fun!

Hmm there any way you could change it so that say..the player could play as your blonde bastilla while the NPC bastilla is still dark hair? (lol starting a newgame with bastilla model for my female char and they both look the same...get confused sometimes :D )

nice work, DesertCombat!!. I hope you don't mind if I hijack this thread with some more mods ;)

here's another Bastila head, this time with red hair. It has the same green eyes as DesertCombat!!'s mod

redhead

here's a simple recoloring of Bastila's default clothes

Black Suit

The saber is from my saber mod

Edit: fixed transparency problems in bastila's black suit.

OMG - the spectre of Aribeth has come to haunt KoTOR *LOL*.

I can see it now...a horde of nude Bastila's...overdeveloped, nude Bastila's...even a "jiggly" Bastila???

ROTFLMAO

From the days of Neverwinter Nights...to the advent of Star Wars: KoTOR....I guess some things NEVER change with time *chuckles*

LOL

Well I suppose this was fairly inevitable. ;)

It's not like anyone can *really* blame you.. The game is fairly dazzling in graphic and model quality by most comparisons, so it was only natural these sort of skins started popping up.

One teeny favor though if I may ask...

Since some of us have (or possibly are) young children, and others may view the site from an office or the like, let's try to indicate in message headers if there are potentially inapropriate images contained within a post or the like. Will save those of us in such situations a lot of trouble and/or embarrassment. ;)

Thx, :)

The textures are stored in the Texturepacks folder inside 4 ERF files.

The high res ones are in swpc_tex_tpa.erf

Use ErfEdit.Exe (which you can DL from Bioware once you sign up for an account there -free of course) if you can't locate it anywhere easier to open the file, then with the filename highlighted you can use the top menu Resource > Extract All to extract a subfolder with every texture in it.

They'll dump out as a bunch of tpc files with no extentions.

Under the "Skinning Possible!" thread on this forum, find the link for the tpc2tga utility too. You'll be needing it to be able to convert the textures for editing.

Then what I did was to use a word processor with macros. First I did a DIR /R > List.txt in a dos window which generates a list of all the files in the current folder each on its own line.

I then copy/pasted that list into Lotus Word Pro (though anything with macros or scripts would work fine) and I recorded a macro where I type "tpc2tga.exe " then hit SHIFT-END to highlight the filename on that line, then CTRL-C to copy, then END to go to the end of the line. Then I typed a space, and CTRL-V to paste, then ".tga", and finally DOWN ARROW and HOME to set up for the next line. That finishes the macro. Then I just hit F5 (the run script key in my word processor) for every line (a few thousand or so). Then I copy/pasted that whole mess back to notepad, save as and named it convert.bat

Now with the batch file, all the textures and tpc2tga in the same folder, just run the batch file. You can then delete the files with no extention if you wish once it's done, as you'll have all the high res TGAs.

You can of course also go down the list and extract each texture individually and then convert them manually on the command line one by one if you only need a few of them. ;)

Anyways.. hope that helps.

I am following this thread with interest - I can do some revising of 2da files and such - can even do a little bit of scripting...but I am totally lost when it comes to textures, re-skinning - or even trying to draw a straight line *chuckles*

Of course - I rather suppose I shall have to be both quick, and lucky - as it would appear some of the re-skinning efforts are not wholly appreciated by some of the powers that be *softly laughs thinking about it*

Will be interesting to see what you all come up with :-)

I don't suppose you could email me both the finished working ingame version of this and the TPC version or whatever? I usually learn modding my ripping existing ones apart and alas the link has been modded out it appears

If you think this is bad, I saw a topic on Bioware boards where some guy had made some *rather* inappropriate material by cutting and pasting speech from bastilas dialogs..

Though for the sake of the boards(lest the moderators come raging), try to keep it "decent" :)

While I am awaiting with bated breath to see what new "skins" come out for KoTOR's main heroine - I think it would be nice to also see:

(1) A new female player skin or two - perhaps a redhead and a frosted brunette...whatever - just something different for the female player character - maybe even custom player clothes/armor to go along with....much like Darkface and Desert Combat did with their Bastila Model (though perhaps with more clothing in the underwear department to appease the Gods) :-)

(2) A new male player skin or two as well - along with custom player clothes/armor and such...perhaps a player model that resembles Mark Hamill from the original Star Wars...or even maybe a Spock skin from Star Trek..or even a Dirk Bogarde skin (remember Battlestar Galactica anyone??)...Buck Rodgers, anyone??

Just a thought to those with the talent to make ideas into reality:-)

people this isn't hard to figure out. take one link and click on it. then remove the link to the image itself to get a complete directory listing.

for example. the first link at the top is:

http://www.ishallnotpostsuchlinkshere.com

if you want to see other screenshots, delete the DIRECT image link.

so then, you will have:

http://www.ishallnotpostsuchlinkshere.com

to further browse, repeat. html and it's linking language is probably the most simple programming labguage in existence.
