I'm going throught the game(again) and retextureing as i go and I'm looking for feedback.

 

Here's a retexture of juhani's clothes i was going to make it more obviously evil but this looks pretty good as is

Next i decided to fidget with her face a bit, I'm not done but have a look anyway

Then there's HK, thhis was simple, maybe too simple, since despite looking as i wanted it to i still feel like i cheated.

I did add some detail. she didn't reall have eyebrows just marks way above her brow that made her seem surprised all the time. I've added added eyebrows and erased the arches. you can see the diffrence in my pictures the close up has the altered texture but the full shot was taken with the head unaltered.

As for HK, I think I'm saving my energy until an importer/exporter comes out. then I'll replace the entire head. If i were to change anything I'd make the scrapes in his paint more obvious though, you know, I think I just don't love HK as much as juhani. But i did save all the work I did on HK as a photoshop document(its jus a bunch of adjustment layers), so I'll keep chipping away at a Hi-res 'community version' of HK as I really do like this version.

who ever said driods were stealthy? I'm, they're made of metal...all that clinking has got to give away their position rather nicely on it's own. I think assassin driod means I pretend to be a protocol driod, then bust into your room and shoot up the place..

Fine everyone. Call me crazy for thinking a assassin shouldn't glow in the dark. You'll get you're version, complete with fake, glowing eyes, and a bull's eye on the back of his head so he can fail to hide both coming and going.

well HK-47 never seemed like he gave a flyign f*** about not getting caught the more people there the more meatbages to kill

Love the retexturings, all three of them.

 

I won't say I think that HK's eyes should be red, but I do think that they should be visible. I'd go for a gray, only a little lighter than the black, that should achieve your stealth goal and compromise with the need for eyes.

 

Awesome stuff, Juhani looks much better.

I'm not much of a graphic artist (well, any artist for that matter, I'm a musician LoL) or a modder, but for some reason, I just think that the gray eyes would be the perfect complement to the "metallic black death lurking just out of your sight" motif that the retexture gives off.

 

I don't know how easy or difficult it is to retexture and do that, but if it's not a killer trouble, I think that I for one (and some others who replied) would love to see that black/gray texture. If you ever kick the idea around, I'd appreciate if you would e-mail it my way at d.a.bomb@juno.com

Seems the reflect map interfers with the texture. The texture for the eye is white, the details come from the map which reflects the original texture, I got rid of this detail in the texture but the map makes it hard to do what you want. I tried looking for the map, but I've had no luck. If anyone knows where that map is let me know.

Don't get me wrong, Weiser_Cain, I love the retexture.

 

However, I have to stand by my hope for gray eyes. This looks great and all, and I would gladly use it in my game, but I've got to hope for the gray. If there was no gray-eyed alternative, I'd love to use this one. Let the community know if/when you make it available.

I could color the area around the eyes but there seems to be some bleeding along the face.

However this isnt a big issue with grey though there is some stretching around the eye. I think the texture is just off and this can be fixed by editing the texture a pixel at a time.

But I'm not doing that now. Maybe I'll get to that this weekend. For now you can play with this texture. You probably won't even notice the flaws(unless you get as close as I did).

Just save it and drop it into your override folder and dont look too closely till the weekend.

i might be wrong, but if you are talking about the shiny looking map thing, it is in the same file. if you use photoshop to edit it, the fourth channel (alpha channel) is the one that dictates which part of the texture is shiny. black = shiny whicle white = is non-shiny.

Thank you. I Think i will eventually retexture the team twice, then calo, maybe malak, some armor, and weapons. There's no grand plan and some of this depends on the community(read:Koltor Tool) getting around certain limitations. I'd like to say mission is next since I've already textured her a bit, but a lot of this is done on a whim.

 

What I really want to do is get some high poly lightsaber models into the game, but we'll have to keep our fingers crossed on that one.
