The Evo-ID challenge - a new twist

Okay, I've gotten kind of tired of hearing the exact same Evolution-Intelligent Design debate over and over again, both sides using the same arguments and neither ever even thinking about their stance. And I had this idea a while back, but haven't had a chance to post for a long while.

The Challenge: the rules are flipped from normal. Evolutionists have to do their utmost to prove ID and ID-ists have to try to prove Evolution. All from the basis of actual science - no cheating to make the side you're now fighting for look bad. We all know where everyone stands, so no cheating.

There's a couple of reasons behind this: 1, it'll give everyone a better look at the other side than they would otherwise get, and (2) it'll ensure that it doesn't degenerate into just another "my beliefs, your beliefs" argument. Anyone who thinks this is dumb, just don't participate - and please, don't make rude comments - but I think it could be fun and interesting, and certainly entertaining.

ah... well.... hmmmm... yes Christ died for my sins isnt that enough! And I just happen to know that if Christ were alive today he would support Intelligent Design and I support anything Christ supports. That's all there is to it. I mean really if you wnat to hold to the belief that all of life on this planet and espicially humanity itself is simply some kind of "accident" then bow down to your atheistic idols. I dont care my friends. It's your soul!

Scenerio 1:

Alright so from my basic religious knowledge lets just say our "God" (please don't take this literally) is a superiorly intelligent alien lifeform who happens to have the technology to create life. Much like the Titans did in Warcraft III. So they decide to create a universe and populate it with lifeforms, one of which is our species, human beings. We are totally oblivious to their existence and we are like their "lab rats" in a grand experient.

Scenerio 2:

We are actually in the Matrix (no need to explain you all know the story I presume). The computer screen you see in front of you isn't real. In fact, there is no screen...

So, how do you prove these are real? Well, to put it frankly, we can't. Anyways, as the Wachoski brothers ask, what is real? (please save your thoughts about this for another thread)

What I'm trying to state here is that from our limited perspective and knowledge of everything inside and around us, we have a lot to find out and we don't really know anything about the workings of life, universe, and everything. (Hey, 42 could be the answer ;)) Because of this absence of understanding, we really don't have any authority to be dictating what is right and what is wrong on these subjects (much less anything else). That is not to say that people can't hold their individual beliefs and debate about it, though. The discussion just really can't progress to the next level until we get more evidence and understanding (and we still might be wrong :)) Although we are working hard and fast upon discovering more about the mysteries of life, the answer is still ever elusive.

Sorry M_K, but I'm gonna take a neutral stance here because I, like you (hopefully  ), am human, and I can't really prove anything. Personally, I feel that this subject has been discussed way too much to be of any use.
