I know that people that join random FFA servers to RPG are annoying, thats why I'm looking for an RPG guild, so that I can RPG where it is meant to be. The only problem is that I am already a Jedi Knight in Knights Reborn. However, is there a public RPG server hosted by Jedi of the Old Code? If not does anyone know of any other public servers that are hosted for RPGs?

Kurgan Posted February 18, 2004 Posted February 18, 2004 Done. I have seen two classes of "RPG" players in JA/JK2. Basically one class are the "honor players" who really just want to saber duel all day, while using catch phrases, emotes and "bowing" to each other while following a "code" that prevents gameplay they consider "lame." Basically guys who take their dueling a bit too seriously. The other group considers themselves "real role players" and basically use JA/JK2 as a "LARP" (Live Action Role Playing Game). Basically it's like playing those games when you were a kid on the playground, cops 'n' robbers, cowboys 'n' indians, etc. Except that in LARP's people dress up in costumes and "act out" their fantasy game, here they just use the game avatars to do it, so it could have nothing to do with the gameplay of JA at all. Interesting, just not my cup of tea. So carry on in the Clan forum...

They also download skins to use in there rpging which make it even better. It would be cool if these people would make a movie with what they do. *hint* *hint*

Hiroki Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 Any good LARP guild would give the boot to anybody who tried to goof off and ruin it. They're not delicate sissys or anything, they get rid of the problem and move on.
